The images are intended to show the scaled height of the main
structures. To leave a point of reference to their height in the photo,
namely the nearby existing 2 stacks, the structures have been positioned a
few metres to the left of the plans Ineos have produced.
The stack width is a little arbitrary as the actual stacks will be much
more complicated structures than is possible for us to reproduce in an
impression such as this. However the general layout, heights, and
proportions are based on a scale drawing extracted from the Ineos
application and as such are a crude but fair representation of what we will
see.
On the other hand, the artist's impressions distributed by Ineos seem to have been
cleverly constructed to minimize the visual impact.
Perhaps Ineos would like to superimpose their own 100% accurate view on our
original photo or, better still, our council could use the software they
used for the Mersey Gateway 'flyby' video to produce a similar video of the
Incinerator site. This would help inform Halton residents what they may
expect.
